PACE: All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly in El Dorado County

PACE is a comprehensive Medi-Cal/Medicare program that can help eligible seniors stay at home instead of moving to a nursing home — but it’s available by zip code, not countywide. Here’s the organization currently serving part of El Dorado County.

What PACE is

The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a Medi-Cal/Medicare program providing comprehensive medical and social services, allowing eligible seniors who’d otherwise need nursing-home-level care to keep living at home. It only operates in specific service-area zip codes, through specific licensed PACE organizations — not countywide or statewide.

The organization serving part of El Dorado County

Per DHCS’s own California PACE Plans service-area document (dated July 2026), one organization currently lists El Dorado County zip codes as part of its service area:

  • InnovAge Greater California PACE – Sacramento — phone (844) 945-0467. El Dorado zip codes include 95623, 95651, 95664, 95667, 95672, 95682, and 95762 (roughly the Placerville–Cameron Park–El Dorado Hills corridor; South Lake Tahoe is not currently covered).

Check your own zip code

PACE eligibility depends on your specific zip code and care needs — contact one of these organizations directly to check whether your address qualifies. Being in El Dorado County alone doesn’t guarantee coverage, since it’s zip-code-specific, not countywide.
